We are currently working on the Tables in Communities project which is focused on helping young people and families find places and spaces where they can enjoy table tennis together. We are providing free access to table tennis by placing tables and equipment in public spaces and places for the wider community to benefit from. This includes schools, shops, squares, parks, tourist spots, and other indoor community facilities. We aim to grow the capacity of our local communities to deliver and sustain access to sport and the benefits that come from participating.

There are over 40,000 juniors keen on table tennis within the Auckland Table Tennis Association boundary, along with numerous adults. The Association is committed to providing enough table tennis sites to meet demand and allowing everyone to access facilities when they wish to play. The Tables in Communities project serves to provide increased access to table tennis in the community.

The Auckland Table Tennis Association has developed an app - "Seekapong" - that enables users to view the network of venues offering table tennis across Auckland and the ability to connect with others interested in table tennis in their local community. We currently have 31 venues around Auckland and over 1000 users on the Seekapong app. This number is growing weekly.

The biggest advantage to our community in this app is allowing you is to save you time and save money where and when you want to play table tennis within your community.

Seekapong also has a wide range of different functions. Such as,

  • A chat where you can chat to your friends where and whenever you want
    - A friend lists will be shown

  • International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) game rules will be provided to help guide you

  • A map showing all the Table Tennis venues that are available to you within in your community (over 30 venues available to you)

  • Rating Calculations where it will show you how they calculate the points gained by the winner and losses by the loser.
    - Leaderboard will be provided (you can also try to climb up it and compete with your opponents)
    - Previous match results shown,

  • Loads more!

  • Prizes to be won as well!

Find Tables. Meet Players. Play Table Tennis.
